Great experience overall and time after time. Had looked religiously for a new barber close to me in North Hills after going to the same guy for 10 years (pre move), so was hesitant at first but Dave (the owner) is a fantastic barber that remembers you and makes you feel like you’re not just another cut. Also, very laid back atmosphere in the shop with an easy booking process and pricing on point - for the quality and experience it’s a no doubt pick for SCBL.
Spent quite some time trying to find a barber shop in Pittsburgh that listens to your needs, wants, personable and easy to talk to, and Steel City has it all. Dave immediately made me feel welcomed as a new client & I felt comfortable in his hands right away. Dave & Theo are super relaxed, friendly, and make you feel right at home when you come into the shop. 10/10 service and would recommend them to anyone!
Dave is the best!! I send my husband to Dave to get his hair cut & he always comes back looking so fire. I’ve been to the shop a few times and it’s very clean & his prices are great!
Highly recommend Theo for a haircut. Theo knows exactly what you’re looking for and gets it done in good timing. Showed him a picture and he put it on my head. Third time coming back and left with an amazing cut each time. Super welcoming and comforting since switching here from both Theo and Dave the owner. Also, easy to book an appointment with respectable timing. Personally found my go to barber.
Sancho's work is fantastic. I was a bit hesitant to go to a new barber since I grew up with a cosmetologist in my house, but he was focused, respectful, professional, and attentive to detail. I'll be going back to him every time, from now on. Thanks for a great first experience, Sancho!
Dave is my all time favorite barber. Always gets me right no matter what I ask for. Knowing when I go to school or practice after a cut I will be getting asked who I go to always makes me feel good about the cut. The environment of the shop and people in it is always immaculate. Couldn’t ask for a better barber or shop.
So I moved to Pittsburgh about two years ago and was having a hard time finding a barber that was great at their craft and develops client relationship they can have a better understanding of my personal style. Theo, one of the barbers at Steel City Barber Lounge, has been that barber for me. It’s been about a year of me getting a haircut with them, and it’s always great to step in and be warmly welcome back. If you are looking of a barbershop that is intentional about building client relationships to provide an excellent service, check them out!
I highly recommend Dave to anyone in the area. He’s a great barber and a great person. I’ve never been cut by Theo but he is always very personable and I’ve talked to him plenty of times while getting cut by Dave. Dave’s cut my hair a bunch of different ways and they always turn out great.
